Department of History

        The Department was established under the Headship of Dr.B.M.Patodekar who was principal of the college till 1981.Then he worked as Registrar of Marathwada University,Aurangabad. Then, Dr.Vijaya Babras worked as Head of the department till 1997. Since then, Mrs.S.G.Morale is working as Head of the Department. The other faculty member is Shri Mukund Telap.

        As teachers of the department are highly qualified, they also worked as expertise and guest faculty for P.G.classes. The department has some audio-visual aids to assist teaching. The Department organizes study tours to historical places like Shivaji’s Forts, Ajanta, Elora etc. The department also guides to the students who are studying for competitive examinations.The Department has organized UGC Sponsored State Level Conference of History on 14 August 2009.

        Mrs. S.G.Morale is the well known social activist and founder, member of  various Social, Educational and Financial institutions. She is the employer of many ex students of the department in her various institutions.
