Department of English           

        The department was established in June 1971 under the headship of Dr. K.R.Rao, renowned Scholar, Critic, Research Guide and creative writer of English literature. Dr.Amga, Dr.Nirmal, Dr.B.P.Bhosale, Shri Manthalkar were associated as faculty of the department. Presently, Dr. K.R.Rao is working as a guest faculty in University of U.S.A. and Dr.B.P.Bhosale is working as senior faculty of Department of English Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad.

       At present, Shri B.B.Khose is working as Head of Department.Dr. V.R.Mirgane and Shri M.N.Navase are other members of faculty. Dr. V.R.Mirgane had established linkage with Sri Aurobindo International Institute of Research in Social Sciences, Pondicherry for his Ph.D.Research. He is recognized research guide of two Universities and has worked as Principal,Vice-Principal and Deputy Registrar of the University.

       The Department has actively participated in COHSSIP scheme funded by UGC. The Department runs Remedial English Coaching Scheme for students from educationally weaker sections. The Department has Language lab with six computers with internet facility. English language learning software is used for language learning and practice. The department is proposed to use software to learn foreign languages such as French,German, Japanis and Spanish.

  3. Two Research Students have been doing Ph.D. under his Guidance.
  4.  A Proposal for Major Research Project has been sent to UGC by Dr.V.R.Mirgane.
  5.  More than Ten Research Papers of Dr.V.R.Mirgane have been published in ISBN and ISSN Journals.
  6. Shri B.B.Khose is doing Ph.D. on Indian Man Booker Prize Winning Novelists.
  7.  Shri B.B.Khose has published Two Research Papers in ISSN Journals.
  8. Shri M.N. Navase has completed his M.Phil on Issues in Learning English as Second Language at UG Level.
